Il bando Green Deal mobiliterà la ricerca e l’innovazione per promuovere una transizione sociale inclusiva e sostenibile. I progetti dovranno fornire risultati tangibili e visibili in tempi relativamente brevi e mostrare come la ricerca e l’innovazione possano fornire soluzioni concrete per le principali priorità del Green Deal.
Per questo motivo il bando, che scadrà a fine gennaio 2021, sosterrà:
- progetti pilota, progetti dimostrativi e prodotti innovativi
- innovazione per una migliore governance della transizione verde e digitale
- innovazione sociale e della catena del valore
Oltre allo sviluppo tecnologico e alla dimostrazione, il bando incoraggia la sperimentazione e l’innovazione sociale per nuove modalità di coinvolgimento della società civile e di responsabilizzazione dei cittadini.
In relazione all’attuale pandemia, l’appello contribuirà alla ripresa verde e digitale e all’aumento della resilienza della società, ad esempio in agricoltura, all’accelerazione della biodiversità delle energie rinnovabili, al trasporto pulito e alla modernizzazione verso un’industria pulita e circolare.
Il bando Green Deal è composto da 11 aree
Otto aree tematiche riflettono gli otto punti chiave chiave dell’European Green Deal.
In ogni area, uno o più argomenti affrontano le sfide delineate nel rispettivo flusso di lavoro del Green Deal europeo.
Gli argomenti si rivolgono a specifiche innovazioni tecnologiche e sociali ad alto impatto che possono contribuire a far avanzare la transizione sostenibile in modo relativamente rapido.
Tre aree orizzontali (rafforzamento della conoscenza; empowerment dei cittadini; e cooperazione internazionale) che abbracciano le otto aree tematiche e offrono una prospettiva a più lungo termine per realizzare le trasformazioni previste dall’European Green Deal.

- LC-GD-2-1-2020: Demonstration of innovative critical technologies to enable future large-scale deployment of offshore renewable energy technologies.
- LC-GD-2-2-2020 Develop and demonstrate a 100 MW electrolyser upscaling the link between renewables and commercial/industrial applications
Call area 3: Industry for a clean and circular economy
- LC-GD–3-1-2020: Closing the industrial carbon cycle to combat climate change – Industrial feasibility of catalytic routes for sustainable alternatives to fossil resources
- LC-GD-3-2-2020: Demonstration of systemic solutions for the territorial deployment of the circular economy
